I had decided to stop watching CSI Miami next season. I probably should have stopped right when I made this decision, but I'm a little bit addicted to the show.
See, CSI Miami is a very pretty show. Miami is very pretty in this show, not at all pink and pastel as in Miami Vice. No, Miami is warm and bright and always sunlit. Crimes in Miami don't happen at night, in fact, there are no nights in Miami, and if there are, there are parties, and they are always very well-lit parties.
It's hard to stop watching such a sunny show, even knowing that they haven't given their characters new lines for almost two seasons. Nobody watches CSI Miami for the intelligent dialogue.
The problem is, the show just won't stop. There is another episode next week, and we already had 24. Which show, I ask, gets 25 episodes a season these days? What not NCIS, they would have needed another 45 minutes to make something out of there so-called finale. Or the Unit, who had to love with 13 meagre episodes. How much more shooting could they have done with a couple more? Or Numb3rs. Okay, I don't know how many episodes Numb3rs gets this season, but you can never have enough Numb3rs.
No, it's CSI Miami, the sunny show, that gets 25 episodes, and the worst thing is, they were already done after episode 24! I have no idea what they want to do with episode 25. I would have been perfectly happy with the ending of 24 as the finale, I didn't even notice there would be another ep until today! That's so unfair. Well, at least I'll get to hear Horatio say "Here's what I want you to do" some more. Seeing how often he has said that already, it should last me for a CSI Miami-free lifetime.
