Part 2 of the update...

...in which [livejournal.com profile] oceana_ reveals what sort of fannish slut she really is.

Why, yes, there is more.

Sports Night
How do I love Sports Night?
Let me count the ways...
Possibly the best thing about Sports Night is that the episodes are so short. Don't have much time? Watch Sports Night.
Dan and Casey never fail to make me smile, I desperately love Dana, Natalie, Jeremy, Isaak and, well, all of them. I really don't understand why the show got cancelled.
However, Sports NIght has never inspired me much. I watch it, I enjoy it, that's it. No need to talk about it. I read some fic ( a lot, actually), all Dan/Casey slash. I read the Sports Night communities and enjoy them.
But I don't feel like participating myself.

The West Wing
Yes, I love the West Wing as well, but same as with Sports Night, I don't feel like talking about it much. I think the show is ingenious, possibly one of the best shows on TV ever. Just not to feel fannish about.
I am currently watching season 4 in case you were wondering, and i have read maybe ten fics. I guess the chances that it'll ever become more than that are pretty slim.

OZ
OZ!!! I love Oz! Isn't the show fantastic? Isn't Christopher Meloni the sexiest thing on earth? And Beecher/Keller the hottest pairing ever? Except for...well, we'll get to that later.
I am spoiled for many things already, but i'm still paranoid about spoilers, so I am not reading fic yet. Except for sometimes, when the urge to read about B/K gets too much, and I go searching for recs. Love the show. Expect me to be very fannish about OZ once I've seen all the eps.

Jeremiah
I am still waiting for people to write Jeremiah fic. There are more now than when I first discovered the show, a lot more. I'd say, twice as many, which makes it a total of, hmm, 8 or 10.
What is it about the show that no one seems to watch it! Luke Perry going commando in leather pants and no one writes about it?
Hmpf.
Anyway, I am almost done with season 2, waiting for the last episodes to download, and then I'll start watching them again, and pimping them again. You can't escape. I won't even cut-tag, I think, so there's now way you'll get past words like "leather pants", "gloves", "naked butt", "Deep, mad, crazy love for Kurdy" and "fucking Markus in the showers".
And that's really all it takes to sum up an episode. Except for the plot, but I don't expect to attract anyone with plot. *g*

Stargate Atlantis
Okay, so I think that the show is pretty damn cool. The characters are great, I even got to accept Rainbow after a while.
Sheppard is pretty and gay. McKay is snarky and gay. Teyla is boring and sexless. Rainbow is not so pretty but young and strangely cute and hero-worshipping Sheppard enough to give him blowjobs in the back of the puddle jumper.
All thi is so obvious that I really don't need to read about it.
Yet.
Big YET.
There will come a day when I will crave Atlantis fic, when I willl become absolutely addicted to read long, plotty fics about a kind of post-apocalyptic Lord of the Flies like Atlantis base which has totally gotten out of hand, any hope of ever returning abandoned, people fighting for food and power, while trying not to die at the hands of the wraiths.
I thought I'd give you a heads-up on this upcoming attraction of mine, so you can start writing.

MacGyver
I know, you are all going MacGyver??? Is that even a fandom? Where is the slash? Has she lost her mind?
yes, yes, and yes. Fact is, I am watchign MacGyver, once a week, like a clockwork. Am in the middle of season 3 at the moment.
I love the show. It's cheesy and funny and exciting (okay, not really, but it tries to be, doesn't that count for anything?), and - most of all - it is with Richard Dean Anderson, and you know, the man should have had less girl-friends and made more movies. There really isn't enough material to drool about.
But MacGyver features RDA in all his glory, with close-ups to orgasm inducing hands (gee, this sure has a double meaning now that I write it) ona regular basis, and the proof that even the worst hair can't ruin a beautiful man.
Shoelaces.
Chocolate.
Stop laughing already.

Farcape
The het fandom. It's all about John/Aeryn, isn't it? And then there are all those other characters, and they are just as brilliant. You love them or you hate them, but you sure don't get to feel indifferent about anyone, not in this show.
I LOVE Farcsape. I still can't believe that I discovered it this late.
I haven't watched the miniseries yet, and I haven't started reading fic, because I finisehd season 4 just recently, and I didn't want to be spoiled. Don't spoil me about the miniseries, I don't want to have to hate you.

NCIS
The gayest show since the Sentinel aired, but they forgot to tell anyone. That's why there are fans who suffer from the illusion that Kate has any chance with Gibbs or Tony. I like Kate, but we all know that she is just watching. Or maybe threesomes, I'm not sure yet.
I love Gibbs Alpha-maleness. I could write whole essays about the difference between Jack and Gibbs, who are both so clearly AlphaMales, and yet so totally different. But not now.
Anyway, NCIS is definitely one of my favourites at the moment, and I wish they'd release DVD sets already. WANT. MORE.

By now, the few of you who have read all of this will have wondered where I do spend my time, since all I said was "not anymore", not at them moment" and "not yet".
And yes, you guessed it, HIGHLANDER ate my brain.

Want to know what I did the last few days when I didn't read my flist and didn't post?
I watched Highlander. I read Highlander slash. I watched more Highlander. I read more slash.
Mainly, this is what my life looks like since, I don't know when I discovered it, but pretty much since then. No, it actuall took me a while to fall for Duncan, but I fell for Mehos immediately, and now I'm lost.
It feels like Stargate is my husband, and Highlander is the man of my life whom I've met just a week to late to actually give up my marriage for him. I will never get a divorce, but I doubt I'll ever find the strength or the will to end my passionate affair with Highlander.
Good thing that this is fandom and not real life, so bigamy isn't that much of a problem.

Not fandoms, but things I am plannign to watch sometime.
Alias Heard a lot of good things about the show, and I really want to watch it some day.
Firefly Everyone does it, so it can't be all bad.
Star Wars Of course I've seen the movies (the old ones), but I feel like I should watch them again and see if there really is Han/Luke slash in them. May explain the mixed feelings I had about Han/Leia. Also, Luke/Leia fic sounds wrong and appealing.
Twin Peaks Season 1 DVD have been in my possession for quite a while now, but i haven't had time to watch them yet. I love the show back when it was on TV. Never understood it though.
JAG I heard that it is very gay.
Dead ZoneGot season 1 and 2 on VCD and have just watched the Pilot today. Interesting, and I am looking forward to seeing more.

Okay, now I'm done.
I can't believe that I have a real life beside all this. But it does explain why my days always feel so short, and why I never sleep more than four or five hours.
