I was going to do the "Name five fictional characters you would have sex with" meme, but I can't. Unless you ask me to limit myself to one show. It would probably be easier to name the fictional characters I wouldn't have sex with. I mean, it's just sex, right? No commitment, no embarassing dinners with the family and morning waking up with dirty laundry all over the bathroom floor? If that's what we are talking about, I'd have sex with a rather large number of fictional characters, because most of them turn me on for one reason or another. If you'd ask me about fictional characters I could fall in love with however?
I'm not sure I could even come up with five.
But let's try:
Five fictional characters I could fall in love with:
1) Starbuck (the new one)
It's not a question if I could fall in love with her, because I already have. I get that warm, tingly feeling in my heart whenever I see her, complete with butterflies and weak knees.
I don't think she is perfect, but at the moment, I'm willing to forgive her everything. I'd probably end up getting hurt though, because Starbuck doesn't seem like the person who'd want commitment right now, and with her, that's exactly what I would want. I'd get jelaous of her playing cards with the other, and she wouldn't let me join, because she needs time for herself. We'D argue, and I'd hate myself for being so needy. And then we'd have hot make-up sex in a viper. *g*
2) Markus (from Jeremiah *points to icon*)
He became a leader because he had too, and he is good at it. He is not afraid to make hard decisions and to fight, but he hasn't lost his ability to love and to care about every person he is responsible for. He is ridiculously easy to love, really. I don't know if he'd ever love me back, not the way I would love him anyway, but it wouldn't matter. Just being there with him, re-building the world, would be enough for me.
3) Sam Carter
I know what you are thinking. Honestly. I think I could easily fall in love with Sam, even with Super-Sam. I may not like her on the show any more, but that doesn't mean I don't still love her character.
She is smart, she is pretty, and I think I know what motivates her. I can accept that her job would always be the most important for her, but after that, she is willing to give everything for a relationship. Sam is a family person with no time for a family, but I think it is what she wants. In fact, she'd be perfect for me, since I like my freedom, so I would have days "off" from our marriage when she is off world. And since she'd have that big secret about her job, she'd have to accept that I'd have some secrets myself.
Also, we could watch MacGyver reruns every weekend and shamelessly drool about RDA. Oh yes, I like that idea: Sam, me, a family-sized package of marshmallow-fudge chocolate-chip ice cream and an endless supply of MacGyver episodes. Yes, I could definitely fall in love with her.
Plus, I bet she could fix my car.
4)MacGyver
Come on, is there really anyone who wouldn't fall in love with MacGyver? Have you looked at his hands lately? Do you know what he can do with these hands? He is sexy, he is smart, and he is totally unavailable, which makes it even easier to fall in love with him. Of course, nothing would ever come off it, but I'd fall in love with him in an instant, and then I wouldn't even be able to blame him for leavingg me, because staying just wouldn't be him.
Also, he'd still drop by from time to time, and I could always call him up if I needed help with, my toaster. Of something. And not living with him would have the advantage of never having to play host to Jack Dalton.
5) Giles
He's Giles! He has that accent, and he is so very smart. Also, all that tweed just screams to be ripped off of him. We could travel around the world in search of rare books, and we'd spent whole weekends in bed, naked, reading, having sex whenever we finish a chapter at the same time. He'd let me go out with my friends all by myself, secure enough not to get jelaous (and he'd have no reason to be), and I'd jump him every time he gets home late and dirty from training one of his slayers or from saving the world.
I'm also pretty sure that he enjoys good food and excellent wines, so I could cook for him. The only thing we would have to argue about first is his tendency to hold vampires inside the house, but I'm sure we could figure something out.
So, that only took hours.
Now, if you really want to know which fictional characters I'd have sex with and when or how, give me the name of a show and I'll tell you.
