Called in sick today, because that's how I was feeling this morning. Just staying home and not having to go to the work I hate where I have to see the people I hate made me feel so much better that I'm afraid I'll have to go tomorrow. As much as I hate them, I can't lie about being sick.
*sigh*
Anyway, I wanted to share some book recs. Lately, I've been buying books like crazy. I blame work and the way it depresses me. Spending hours in a book store is my personal anti-depressant.
Here's what I read during the last two months:
( 1) Rita Mae Brown & Sneaky Pie Brown - Mrs. Murphy Series )
( 2) Karin Slaughter - A Faint Cold Fear )
( 3) Paul Theroux - Dark Star Safari )
( 4) Nicholas Shakespeare - Bruce Chatwin )
( 5) Sting - Broken Music (Autobiography) )
( 6) Joseph Gangemi - Inamorata )
That's it. I have quite a few books on my shelf that I haven't read yet, and I can't wait to find the time to do so. Today I started "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger, it I already love it after twenty pages (then I had to stop to go shopping).
Btw, has anyone ever read "The Blind Watchmaker" by Richard Dawkins? Douglas Adams talks about it in "The Salmon of Doubt", and it sounds fascinating, but it is also rather expensive over here. Anyone know if it is good?
