Stupid question for the smart people on my flist:

I use Internet Explorer (I know). Usually, there's a area at the bottom of the window where you can see how much of the website has loaded, or, when you move you mouse over a link, where the link is going and such. It also shows if you are using a secure connection. Know what I mean?

Well, mine's gone.
I can't see it anymore.
And I'd really like it back.

Help?

And please don't tell me to use Firefox or something instead, it won't bring the thingy back.

I just had the most horrible thought, practically out of nowhere:

The SGC is under the earth. Very deep down underneath the surface, where there is no real light, and NO AIR.
They could suffocate to death if someone cuts off their air supply!

See, I thought I'd be one of the first persons to go on to the Atlantis mission, but in order to do so, I would have to enter the SGC, and I don't think I coudl do that.
I have a terrible fear of suffocating. I'm not afraid that someone would choke me to death, but I can't be in small spaces without seeing where the air is coming from. I panic.
I'm not afraid of the dark, but when I wake up in a dark room, withou any light, I feel like I'll suffocate, simply because I can't see if there's a wall right in front of me that could cut off my air supply. I couldn't sleep in a mezzanine (Hochbett, don't know the english word and am too lazy to look it up, help?) that is so close to the ceiling that I wouldn't be able to sit up.
Total panic, and no matter how hard I try to be reasonable about it, I won't calm down until I get into an open space.

The thought of working far down under the surface like in the SGC, totally dependend on artificial air supply, is a nightmare for me.

Right.
I'm sure you all wanted to know that.
