Apple offers the pretty, and I want it. WANT.
But I still haven't decided if I want to spend that much money on an mp3 player, and the US version (pretty!) is even more expensive than the normal one.
And then there is still the ipod mini to consider, which is pretty as well, plus there is potential green- or pinkness.
My situation is like that: theoretical I would have the money. I wouldn't have to ruin myself.
Practically, I think that 379 Euro / US Dollar is a lot of money, and I'm not sure if I want to spend it on something that I could probably live without. I mean, I have lived without any kind of mp3-player so far.
On the other hand, I'm going to be spending a lot of time away from home in the next year, possibly the next few years. Why have 400 CDs if you can't listen to them? And they could ALL be on my ipod. Not all of them would fit in the mini.
I know, I've been on and off about that for half a year now, I just can't decide. The white ipod is sort of ugly, but I think there are skins that would turn him pink? Maybe green? Hm, will have to figure that out. The U2 one is definitely pretty.
Anyway, my question: if you have an ipod (any kind of ipod), is there anything you'd have wanted to know in hindsight? Does it scratch easily, did the battery break etc. If there is anything you'd have wanted to be told before buying it. could you leave me a comment and tell me what it is?
Oh, and the last time I asked (yes, you are not hallucinating, I did ask before) people were so nice and told me about alternatives to the ipod. I looked at them, and while some of them are probably even better (and cheaper), let's face it: I am shallow and I want the pretty. It's going to be an ipod, or I'll try to survive with my tapes and my walkman for a year.
