I think I want an iPod. Actually, I've been thinking about buying one ever since I know they existed, and a lot during the last four weeks.
Problem is, they are expensive. On the other hand, I could have a green one. Green! Who wouldn't want to spend a lot of money for something shiny and green? On the other hand, if I get a green one, I'd have to buy an iPod mini. I never owned a mp3-player. Are 4 GB sufficient? Has anyone bought the iPod min and then regretted not buying the iPod?
I really can't decide.
Also, I read somewhere that it only playes itunes. That - surely - can only be a bad joke. I really don't intend to spend money on music if I pay that much money for the player. And I don't own many mp3s anyway, I was planning to rip my own collection, which is absolutely legal in Germany, as long as you just use them yourself. On the other hand, who knows what evil schemes the music industry has planned for us? Selling a player that is shiony and green, so that no one can resist, and then making you buy 4 GB of iTunes sounds like the plan of an evil genius economist, so it isn't impossible.
I think the problem is that I have saved too much money. It makes me nervous. I keep telling myself that I need money when I move to Paris next year, and then I tell myself that the iPod is for Paris somehow, since I wouldn't have to take CDs if I have an iPod.
Help? Is there anyone who is better at making decisions than I am? Or anyone who owns an iPod mini and can tell me if they are absolutely necessary? Or a therapist who can help me get over this infatuation for shiny, green things?
Can't they release the Stargate Season 7 Box sets already, then I could spend money, feel bad about it and forget all about the iPod. BTW, for those of you in the UK or other European Countries, Amazon offers Stargate Season 1 for only 29,99.
